darling it's better, down where it's wetter..

This would be how I'm spending this rainy Wednesday♥. Disney movies are always good, no matter how old you are! "Under the sea" is one of my favourite Disney songs, even though "The little mermaid" isn't my favourite of the films.

Do you have a favourite Disney movie? :-)

it's the way i'm feeling

Top - H&M
Skirt - Diy
Cardi - Zara
Belt - Old

I've actually spent a few days in these clothes this week. Really unusual of me, I don't often feel comfortable wearing the same clothes twice.. But as I'm just home this Saturday it doesn't really matter:-D

I had quite a busy week, so I'm really glad to just chill the weekend. Now the exam week is over, and the last three (3!) months of school will be a bit easier. I don't have that many subjects anymore, yay! I'm actually counting days to the day when I don't have to go to high school anymore.. I've always liked school, but this last year's been so draining. Roll on February and study leave!

Have a wonderful weekend♥!

P.s. Still love that song:):) !

top rings

I'm becoming such a magpie, especially when it comes to rings. Here's a few of my Topshop favourites:) The octopus's so cute, I need him in my life!

thieves in the town

Yesterday someone stole my hat (as seen here). Actually unbelievable how rude people can be.. I had school for an hour, left my things where I always leave them. When I come back to go home, everything else is there except the hat. (If you are the thief, I would appreciate it if you returned the hat to its lawful owner; that'd be me. I wouldn't even eat your head off, if you were nice and changed your way of living!)

Luckily, I still have this fur hat, and other hats as well. And Cleo.

top heels

Funny, how a pair of shoes can make a lassie happy, and I'd be happy for a long time if I had any of these. But I've been thinking of buying a cheapish pair of heels and making them glittery myself.. I've seen some tutorials all over the internet and it doesn't look that hard to do! Wouldn't probably beat Topshop shoes but anyway:)

getting what i was wishing for!

On Thursday I was saying that I'd be ready for the snow to start falling and waiting for a white Christmas to arrive, so the very next day I got what I wanted. I was so surprised that it happened right after me saying (=writing) it aloud! Of course there's not a lot of snow but it's a good start. If the temperature stays under zero, I can continue to wear my winter shoes, I'm so in love with these right now♥.

Dress - New look
Blazer - Grandma's old
Shoes - Skopunten

Today, we invited our neighbours for a Sunday roast, and we've had a wee Christmas atmosphere. I actually despise people who put Christmas decorations up already in the beginning of November, and now I'm being the biggest hypocrite.. We've slowly started to trot out all our Christmas stuff and have already placed lights and other bits and bobs around the house. Also we're eating gingerbread and other Christmassy treats.. Suppose I'll have to confess I was listening to Elvis's "White Christmas" cd on repeat today as well.. Shame on me!

The rest of the day I'll be spending with my French book (, exam tomorrow!) and if I have time I'll sort out my room to appear a little cleaner. The clothes stand seems to be overflowing, maybe now that there's snow I could put aside the most summery dresses:)

Hope you had an amazing and relaxing Sunday♥!

oh ohohohoh i know the sun must set to rise

Skirt - Diy
Top - Present from France
Cardi - New look
Scarf - Grandma's old

Necklace - Old as anything..

I'm kind of waiting for snow. I don't like it when it's too cold for too long (=winter in Finland) but I think it's already time for snow. At least I want a white Christmas, it should always be snowy at Christmas! And what really is good about snow, is how it gives light in the gloomy winter days. It's pretty much black outside when I leave the house and once I get back it's already getting dark. Snow would make it seem a little brighter, and a light snowing always looks pretty:)

Anyway, this is what I wore on this snowless, dark day. Hope you had a lovely Thursday♥!

hey, i put some new shoes on and suddenly everything is right

(A Cleopatra-ghost, 'cause she's trying to get into every picture!)

Some weeks ago we were at Haparanda, and I saw that Skopunkten had a 'three for the price of two' -bargain. I didn't have money at the time, as I'm really skint nowadays.. So I asked mama to take me to Sweden again to see if the bargain was still valid. We live some 35km from the border, so going to Sweden isn't something that special and Haparanda certainly doesn't feel like being abroad. You can pay with euros, even they have kronas as they currency, haha. Anyway, they still had the 'three for the price of two' and you bet I was a happy lassie!

Bought two wedges for myself and a pair for my sister as a Christmas present. Together they were ~90e. The black ones are nearly identical to the Vagabonds I wanted, only the Vagabonds are more expensive than these three together.. The ones for my sister (below) are the same as my black ones. Black's a more practical colour for me; goes with everything and I can't get it dirty as easily as light colours. The leopard wedges' heels are a little smaller than the other two's and they don't go as high as well. But love all the shoes♥. I'm a top sister for buying such amazing presents!

Also I got some stuff from my godmother, yay! I got a new Moomin -mug, everyone really knows I love them, haha! Another thing that people seem to know I like is aphorisms. Got this wee book:

"Do noble things, not dream them all day long." -Charles Kingsley

Oh hiya, cutie socks!

birdy's my lassie

Couldn't stop listening to Birdy last night, so I thought I'd share these videos with you. As far as I know she's not that well-known but she's really worth a listen, absolutely love her! And I couldn't believe it when I read she's only 15, such an incredible voice. Think she'll have a bright future ahead, if that's what she wants. Sometimes I wish I had continued taking singing lessons.. Not that I'd sing like Birdy 'cause she's the most amazing lassie I've heard in a while!

sunday's (still) my favourite day

Hat - Seppälä
Top & Cardi - H&M
Skirt - Primark

My Sunday's consisted of eating well (like nearly every Sunday!), helping mama at the church (she's working for the parish, atm), homework and rejoicing about my new shoes. I'll show the shoes once I've time and urge to do it, haha. Also it's starting to look like I don't have to think about Christmas presents for the family for much longer. I'm so early with this this year, it's not even mid-November! Can't wait for December to begin, I haven't been this excited for Christmas in a long time! Yesterday I went and bought an advent calendar for my cat, it's got milk and catnip buttons:> I'm so excited for her, but for some reason she didn't seem to share the feeling of excitement when I was waving the calendar in front of her face...

Did you have a nice Sunday♥? (Don't dare to ask if any of you are already waiting for Christmas.. It is November after all!)

top playsuits

Finally I found out what's the difference between a playsuit and a jumpsuit, been feeling a bit dumb for not knowing it.. Jumpsuit's got long legs, so I don't own a single jumpsuit! Wouldn't mind if that blue one changed that fact.. Love it! These are my favourites from Topshop:) And, aye, I've actually been spending hours drooling over Topshop stuff and selecting what I'd like the most!

They don't have Topshop in Finland and don't think they've been shipping orders here for a long time. That's another reason why I loved last year: the shopping possibilities were ~a hundred times better! Wouldn't go as far as to say I miss Topshop but it was nice to walk in the shop and caress the dresses and lust for the rings..

i set fire to the rain

Today was not a good day. You know, one of those days when you just wake up and everything seems to go wrong from the moment you get out of bed... So instead of dwelling on misery - which I'm most likely just imagining - I started digging for nicer photos taken on nicer days to cheer me up a bit.

These are from this week; chilling with the wee cathead, wearing woolly socks and lighting up the fire. You don't need that much to make a good night, it's always about the little details. Love how it's already cold enough so you can sit in front of the fire place. This was the first time this year, and can't wait for more of these days to come, when you can just watch the fire and drink hot chocolate. And have melted marshmallows+chocolate between two digestives, ah. They're the best thing ever.

Hoping that tomorrow I'll wake up to birds chirping, sun shining, someone bringing breakfast to bed, and everything nice... I wish.

I was browsing on Topshop's website and all the dresses seem to be absolutely perfect. These are some of my favourites:) Loving velvet, Peter Pan collars, open-backs and shiny materials!
