barcelona: the rest
This Barcelona trip for me was all about Gaudí, but I did see and do other things as well. I walked a lot and while walking saw lots of things. That's usually one of my favourite things to do when travelling: just wandering the streets and possibly stumbling upon something interesting or pretty. Or anything really. (Although, now that I think about all the walking I did in the heat, it's still making me tired and making my tiny feet ache.)

barcelona: more gaudi
Is it a surprise that I'm back with even more Gaudí? But there can never be too much Gaudí, can there. The other buildings I saw or visited in Barcelona were Casa Milà or La Pedrera, Sagrada Família and the Palau Güell. And they're all obviously beautiful.

barcelona: park guell
After Casa Batlló, Park Güell was at the top of my list. It was the nicest weather (so warm!), so it was a dream to spend basically a full day in the park. It has all the most gorgeous architecture, the loveliest greenery and the most pleasant atmosphere in the prettiest place. You bet I was Gaudí fangirling!

barcelona: casa batllo
I've got a few Barcelona posts coming up now, from when I visited in the summer, and to be honest they're mostly fangirling about Antoni Gaudí. First and most importantly about Casa Batlló - my one true love and long-time obsession. Seeing Casa Batlló and other Gaudí masterpieces was basically the sole reason for me to want to visit Barcelona. Which is why I immediately bought the tickets when I saw how cheap they were and when the city basically was on my way travelling from Portugal to Finland.
