I had said to mama that I'll still swim in September. At least once. The days just flew by and I never went swimming when mama asked me to join her. So one night I just pulled my bikinis on and told mama "we're going for a swim!" She wasn't thrilled, it was quite a cold night, but anyway down to the river we went.

 

 

 You can see that it really was rather chilly as that's my breath there.. But when the air's colder the water seems warmer. We'll see if this was my last swim for this year! If there'll be warmish days I might as well wear my bikinis once again.

 

 

 

 

P.s. About the title.. Clark Gable, Claudette Colbert, black&white classic from 1934; "It happened one night" is always worth a watch!

 You might have noticed that I haven't been shopping lately. This would be 'cause I've never been this broke before, when I got back home from Scotland I noticed that I didn't have any money. Towards the end of the year I had started to be pretty reckless when it came to money. (Well, when it came to anything, really.)

Even with a little money I need some winter clothes, at least shoes and some trousers. So yesterday I made mama take me to Tornio. I left with the idea of getting myself a pair of high-waisted jeans and winter shoes. Also, Arnolds was quite tempting. So much love for that place. They have the best bagels and doughnuts♥

 

 This is my catch. The jeans are from Vero moda (~40e) and the hat from H&M (~10e). I don't wear trousers often but I'm loving these jeans! The only thing I terribly need is the shoes but I didn't find anything that would be perfect. Or I did, these Vagabonds, but I'm not quite ready to pay 109e for them. Please put them on sale!

Yesterday I walked in the rain and thought it'd be nice to take pictures of myself after it. Like my hair in these though, even it's partially wet! This past year I've used make-up more often than usually and this week was the first days I actually went to school without any make-up. Don't know when my life got like this, I used to be au naturel (not naked) half the week.

Partly I'm blaming last year's not-so-early mornings. I got to sleep an hour longer than in Finland on school mornings and therefore I had more time to put on my face. But suppose it's vanity as well. Especially last year, in Scotland. I was meeting new people all the time and that kind of makes you want to make the effort and look your best. I really like doing my make-up and dressing up - even I was just going to stay home. However, I've decided to have more days without make-up from now on.

 Here's some bad-quality photos from "The Maltese Falcon". Watched it yesterday night and it was pretty good:) It's about a private detective who takes on a case that involves him with three criminals and their quest for a priceless statuette. (Haha that sounds so copied and not like me!) Well that's about it, I'm not going to tell everything, but I'd recommend this film if you haven't seen it. In my opinion every movie with Humphrey Bogart is worth watching! Love him.

Hey! I started writing this rather enthusiastically but everything didn't go as planned. Blogger won't let me upload photos or anything.. So what I'd like to ask is, is it only me or are other people experiencing this as well?

 The only reason I want to go to the market is to get these sweeties. I'd say it's good for me that you can get them only twice a year as I'd honestly eat them every day. So. Good♥. I only bought six different sorts of them and there's over 30 to choose from! There's been a three-day market in town and this was the last day. We got there just at the right time as some stalls were already emptying their tables. We got spices etc. as well but the sweeties are so much above them.

 EDIT// Just realized that blogger had deleted the last photo and the text in the end. Sigh. Of course I can't remember my words exactly but.. Long story short: After being at the market, we went to mama's friend's 50th birthday party. It was just coffee and cake for family and a few friends, and it was good. As was the cake;)

I had bought this dress last year, before going to Scotland. I didn't take it with me and anyway it was a tad too big for me. Mama said it'd probably fit me when I came back as most exchange students gain at least some weight. Luckily I didn't (probably 'cause I had to walk to school!) and yesterday I decided it could be the maiden voyage of the dress at the birthday party. So I narrowed it and now it's quite perfect!

 This is what I wore yesterday. I had quite forgotten about this vest! Loved it a couple of years ago when I bought it and now I've refound my love. Gives a little 'something extra' to a casual outfit.

I'm really busy now with school so I can't promise to be blogging that often. I might, I might not. I had my English listening comprehension today (which was eeeasy!) and the written part of the exam is next week. As is my history exam. I've been watching history documents a lot lately, they're more interesting than just reading from a book. Fingers crossed these exams will go as well as the listening!

 

 

I received a letter from my sister yesterday. Letters are always a nice surprise:) Corresponding via letters should be more common. But to the letter.. She sent these earrings with it and asked if I'd like to have them. And I did. They are my sisters old but she had used them only once or twice (,which isn't that unusual for her). How cute are the cats!
