isn't the world a lovely place?
Every other blogger/vlogger/social media person was talking about the Colourpop My Little Pony collection last autumn and after umming and ahhing about it for a while I also got the whole collection in the autumn. And only got around to talking about it today. But that doesn't really matter 'cause My Little Pony is life, always.
I wanted to take these pictures while at my mum's so that I could get all my old ponies from storage and include them in the pictures. But after a few snaps I ran out of battery and my charger was at home. (What an amateur.) So, I didn't get as many and as cute photos with all my ponies as I wanted to, but it was still a lovely little nostalgia trip.
I have always loved My Little Pony. I loved the TV series and movies (mainly Generation 1 as you might've gathered from the title), I loved the actual ponies, I loved the little comics, and now I love the make-up. I really have been loving the whole collection (although I'm missing one of the super shock shadows, in Cherries Jubilee, as I was accidentally sent an extra brush set instead of it and I was not in the mood to make a complaint). As I didn't photograph these right away when they arrived, if you look closely at some of the products you may see a bit of wear and tear already in some favourites. Honestly, I got the whole thing for the aesthetic even while I thought I wouldn't really enjoy the ultra glossy lips or the highlighter colours. Turns out the ultra glossy lips have been my favourites (Ponyland in particular) and Trickles, the lavender highlight, is so pretty. EVERYTHING is so pretty. The packaging is the cutest, the names are all My Little Pony characters and places which is adorable, the products are cute and I can truly say that on most days I wear make-up I wear something My Little Pony.
Usually it's during spring that I get most into make-up, and I think that that time has arrived. I'm definitely adding more colour and getting more into a routine, whereas at the start of the year I didn't feel like doing much most days. This collection is definitely helping me be extra sparkly (which I didn't fully know I wanted to be, but I do) and, most importantly, it's fun. I've really enjoyed creating fun looks like this one from a few days back - this is probably the most colour my face has seen since the beginning of high school. And I love that, I love make-up being fun.

I loved My Little Pony as a child too! I'm not a fan of the new style cartoons/figures though!
