saints and sun and stunningness

I love Garmisch-Partenkirchen. It's quite a small town, but honestly one of the prettiest ones I've ever been to. (Also, just in case you're interested, GaPa used to be two different towns that Hitler forced to be combined, and apparently people of Partenkirchen aren't too glad when the whole town is referred to as Garmisch.) I especially like the wee (or large) paintings that a lot of the houses had. There's saints, scenery, athletes and what not. Why don't more buildings have paintings on the outside walls? That is just so pretty. And don't even get me started on the Alps. I don't really have that many pictures of the mountains considering how much I liked them. Sometimes you see something so breathtakingly beautiful that you don't want to have photos of it as they would never do justice to it and you'd rather have the memory of this wondrous thing and the feelings it evoked in you. That's how I feel about the Alps. And as stunning as this area is, I don't think I'd ever want to live there because I wouldn't want to get used to the scenery and take all of it for granted. You know.
