thursday thoughts pt. 48

This is something that was part of my yearly goals last year, and still continues to be one. I am certainly not the best with my sleeping schedule: before the Christmas holiday I found myself going to bed around 3am which is not ideal. I try to get up to 8h sleep every night, I try to go to bed before midnight, but as I have absolutely no routine and reason to be out and about come 8 o'clock, I've really come to struggle with going to sleep at a reasonable hour. I've been a bit better while visiting my mum, but still - I am currently still in my PJs and it's nearly 5pm. Please, tell me I am not the only one who is this bad at being an adult/reasonable and responsible human bean!

But this is what I'm trying to do. Early to bed and early to rise, so that I can be all the things I want to be in 2018 and every other year: healthy, wealthy and wise. If enough sleep can make a man all that, it'll surely give something extra to a woman, right? I'd be happy to just be these three things, though!

Sleep is always a good idea! I'm always the most productive in the morning which is what motivates me to go to bed early.

Ohhh yes, getting enough sleep is so important even though just like you I go to bed late.

Love this quote. It's so hard to get into a sleep schedule. I work shifts so find it hard. Hope you manage to rise early and be wise this year!

I love this quote! When I'm at work, I'm pretty disciplined with going to bed as I am absolutely useless if I'm tired. The trouble comes when I'm off - then any kind of sleeping routine goes out of the window.
