On Saturday, we had a wee walk around our neighbourhood with mama. We were trying to find some spring flowers but there was only lil' buds. However, the day was really nice and it finally looks like spring. I love this road leading into the forest. Actually, I love most parts of our small village, it's such a peaceful place! I look like a proper mongo in these pictures, but don't we all, at times.

I brought this black&red carpet from my room to be dusted outside and it took me ages to get it done as it's so heavy. So I decided I don't like it enough to get it back upstairs or even to keep for a future home. Mama's idea was to let it stay outside on the porch. It's proving to be quite a good one too, and it's lovely to sit on the stairs now that there's more than just plain wood to sit on. I can see myself having a cup of coffee outside on upcoming sunny mornings!

I am totally in love with all old photo effects! And there's so many different kinds.. I'd edit all my pictures like that, but that'd probably get a bit annoying. Still, you'll be seeing more of these 'old photos'.

And - finally - the weather's been nice around here! :-) I even had my first ice cream outside this evening. Normally, I've gone swimming on May 20th, so maybe it's time for that soon! Whether or not, I hope it'll be sunny the whole week!

 Yesterday, mama and I were going to this big garden near us to see if they had some nice flowers for our garden. On our way we stopped at a friends' house for a little coffee and a chat, and once finally arriving at the garden, it was closed already. We did sneak into one greenhouse with a door open, but suppose another trip will be needed. Which isn't too bad, because I love gardens and it'll be lovely to see all the kinds of flowers and plants they have!

 

 To be honest, I can't remember if I baked this French pear cake on Sunday or Monday. I'm the kind of person who'd never remember what I ate for lunch yesterday, but I could tell you most of the birthdays of Harry Potter characters.. Such a selective memory! Anyway, the cake isn't that excellent-looking, yet it tastes good! :)

It actually looks more like autumn than spring right now! If it wasn't for the occasional flower peeking from the ground or a few wee leaves starting to grow on the trees, I'd definitely say it looks like autumn. I can't wait for it to be all green and summery again:) I was going to take some pictures of the flooding river when it started to rain. A little drizzle didn't bother me that much until I realized it'd ruin my hat, haha! So my exploring didn't last that long. But apparently, the water hasn't been this high in some 20 years. It's crazy, I think my neighbours even lost their boat!

Yesterday, I spent the whole day at my godmother's. She's helping me a lot with the graduation party, and we were mainly testing all sorts of food. There was a lot of bread-making, 'pigs in blankets' -rolling, salad-tasting and what not. And a lot of food often equals to a good day!

Originally, I didn't have that jacket on, but had to change once I got home. It's part of my working attire, and it's got splotches of paint and everything on it, haha. We're having a wee flood in our cellar, you know. While downstairs in the cellar, I noticed the sun was shining really nicely and decided to take my outfit photos there.
