Just a wee outfit post. The temperature has finally risen nearer to zero which makes dressing a lot easier. No need for millions of layers of clothes, two/three pairs of tights and thick cardis that hardly fit under your coat. Now I might even get to put my skates on and stroll to the ice rink. I know, I talk about ice skating all the time.. It just is one of the best things about winter!

Another dress I sewed recently. I'm thinking of making my graduation dress with the same pattern, only with the skirt part shorter and puffier.. Not sure at all yet, but I think this one is alright!

Just a few pictures showing what my life's been like lately. I finished "Ghost Stories of Henry James" and volume 1 of "Les Miserables". (How come no-one ever told me how good Les Miserables is?) There's a lot of snow, and it's been around -30 for almost two weeks. Luckily, I'm on study leave now and I don't really have to go outside if I don't want to:-)

Mama had found this second hand Laura Ashley fabric, and I'm so glad she bought it for me! I think the flowers are really beautiful, especially as I don't often wear such big patterns. Even though the fabric is quite thick, I wanted to turn it into a dress. The pattern for the dress is from a Finnish sewing magazine (can't remember the name of the magazine, maybe Burda!), but I changed it a wee bit. My dress has an open back and it's a little shorter than the original one. It's a bit tight around my hips, not enough to make it uncomfortable, though!

I've done nothing interesting this week, and that goes for dressing myself as well. It's so cold that I've basically had this same outfit the whole week, with a different sweater. This is the first week in years I've had trousers on every week! And also the first week in years I've had no make-up for a week (at school etc. at least!). Hopefully, life will get a bit better and warmer now!
