forest fairy

I've really tried to sew a lot during the summer and, man, have I missed my wee sewing machine! I'm trying to take care of that wee baby really well now so it won't feel abandoned once I go back to uni.

I started this skirt ages ago and it didn't take long to do some finishing touches. It's made from leftover fabrics from my graduation dress and basically that's why it became an asymmetrical skirt. There wasn't enough fabric for a full skirt and I didn't fancy leaving it as a mini, hence the "trail". I do like it, although the front of the skirt is dangerously short! And last year I ripped this dress and wasn't able to fix it. I sewed the back and used it a couple of times, but then decided to chop it into a crop top. And it feels like a good decision, even though you all did leave lovely comments about it as a dress:-)

I really want to get back into sewing too! Now if only I could remember how to thread the machine..haha!
