These should be the last pictures I've left from Finland, and the first ones where you can actually see my new hair. Some days it looks good, some days it doesn't. I had forgotten how fast my hair grows, and should probably cut it a little already if I want to keep it like this. The dress is another new thing. I started sewing it over a year ago and finally finished it before leaving my sewing machine again. The skirt is thicker, which is lovely for autumn (and winter). The floral print of the top part is so pretty too, and if I was still in the same country as my wee Brother, I'd sew a matching top of the fabric that's left.
Walking round this stone fence surrounding the old church used to be one of my favourite things as a wee one. It wasn't as exciting anymore, but I still made the whole circle, just for old times' sake. During the summer and beginning of autumn, I took my mum (i.e. made her take me) to a lot of the sights in my hometown. Being a tourist in your hometown can be so much fun, and it's unbelievable how many places you never visit because they're so near. I've now visited all the war memorials, graveyards and what not. And there's still so much more to see another time. It must be amazing to have a history undergrad for a daughter, ha!
