when the cold of winter comes

T-shirts aren't usually my cup of tea, but even I have found one that I couldn't resist. Also, being only £3 in H&M, it fits perfectly into my student budget. I never really had a phase of wearing band shirts, so maybe this is my time, ha! Just came to quickly show you this Beatles loveliness, I'm back to listening to the Lord of the Rings soundtrack and reading about medieval popes!

Even though my posting pace has decreased vastly, I'm still alive. I just can't find the time and energy to do much.. Besides going to uni, I've been ill most of my time in the UK, and finally this week realized that I actually need to stay in in order to get better. I had a day off yesterday, spent all day in bed and now I'm already feeling a lot better! My colds and flus always tend to be of a long nature, but maybe ~a month will be enough! Hope you've all managed to keep away from getting a cold! Having lots of hot drinks is pretty nice, though. I've gone through three (3) bottles of honey already, as honey water is what I mostly have. With a little lemon juice:-).

Other than that, I'm quite pleased that it's autumn. All the layers of clothes, chunky cardis, rain showers, crispy air, colourful leaves. One of the resent things my mom sent me was the cover on my bed. It makes me think of autumny leaves and is a bit tacky, just the right amount for me to like it. And it also reminds me of my grandparents as it used to be in their living room.

I'll try and start posting more regularly, I really will!

welcome to my humble abode

Jumper - Dad's old
Skirt - H&M (It's there, though you can't see it, trust me!)
Shoes - Skopunkten

It still looks more like a wee motel room, but I do call it home. Moving abroad inevitably meant that I wouldn't have a lot of my things with me and I'm also quite reluctant to buy stuff I know I have back in Finland. I've got everything I need, though. My shoe collection has shrunk massively, which is a bit sad, but I'll manage.

I'm meant to be doing an assignment for tomorrow, but procrastination is getting the better of me. That's something I'm really good at! :-) But, if I get the assignment done, I may be going to see Newton Faulkner with a couple of friends tonight. There's a bit of motivation!

Body - 2nd hand
Over-knee socks - KappAhl
Necklace - Gift/Avon

Oh, I'm starting to feel quite bad about neglecting this lil' blog of mine! Uni isn't even keeping me that busy as I'm not attending that many modules this semester. I just find it more difficult (=embarrassing) to take photos now that I'm not at home, in the middle of nowhere. Maybe I'll ask mama to send me my tripod and get over the fear of looking like a prick taking pictures of myself.. I do know inside photos of my tiny room aren't that good, haha!
Anyway, this is what I'm wearing today. I only took a limited amount of jewellery with me, and this cat could not be left out. (Actually, I have a limited amount of everything..) For a change, I'm in a rush right now, and need to cook a quick lunch before my lecture. Catch you later, dolls♥!

what's been playing

1. Lykke Li - I Follow Rivers. I probably haven't mentioned this, but I love Lykke Li.

2. Mumford & Sons - I Will Wait. Was so excited waiting for this, and I'm liking Mumford & Sons more and more every day!

3. Marina and the Diamonds - How to be a heartbreaker. This song. Still.

4. The Beatles - In My Life. My favourite Beatles song at the moment!

5. Ricky Valance - Tell Laura I Love Her. We've got a song for almost everyone in our flat, and this is mine:-)

Just a quick post to let you all know that I'm not dead. I've been here in Leeds for a little over a week and so far, so good. Luckily my flat mates are all really nice and my first lectures etc. at uni have been alright:-) I survived freshers' week just fine, haha, though I've been having quite a bad freshers' flu. I'll try and get back to blogging as soon as things stop being so hectic and new. If that ever happens!
